Canilao is 2015 EMP Memorial Lecturer

The LSP and the Ateneo de Manila Univesity English Department are proud to host the 7th Emy M. Pascasio Memorial Lecture in honor of one of the Philippines' most prominent scholars in language education.

This year's lecture will be held on September 5, 2015, 9 a.m. at the Natividad Galang-Fajardo Conference Room, Horacio de la Costa Hall at the Ateneo de Manila University. The lecture is entitled "The use of English in multilingual classrooms: Frameworks, features, and factors" and will be delivered by Maria Luz Elena N. Canilao, Ph.D. of the Ateneo de Manila University.

Dr. Canilao has a doctorate in ELL (English language and literature) from the Ateneo de Manila University. As an educator, mentor and researcher, her works focus on multilingual education, language planning and policy, language teaching principles and practices, and materials development.
